FWC: The largest and most significant event in the global logistics industry

The FIATA World Congress (FWC) is the largest and most influential annual event in global logistics bringing together leading leaders, experts, and businesses from over 100 countries and territories. The congress is not only a place where new trends, sustainable development strategies, and innovative logistics solutions are announced and discussed, but also opens up opportunities for extensive cooperation, promoting the development of the international supply chain.

FIATA, an international non-governmental organization with members from approximately over 100 countries and territories, represents the global freight forwarding industry. FIATA members include 109 Member Associations and more than 5,500 Individual Members, representing an industry with over 40,000 logistics and freight forwarding companies worldwide.

Having gone through 61 congresses in countries around the world, Vietnam has excellently won the right to host FWC 2025. The congress will take place from October 6 to 10, 2025, at the National Convention Center in Hanoi with the theme ” Green and Resilient Logistics”.

The Journey of Partnering with VLA to Bring FWC 2025 to Vietnam

FWC 2022 (Busan, South Korea)

On September 27, 2022, VLA successfully received a letter from FIATA – the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations – FIATA World Congress 2022 (FWC 2022) announcing and congratulating Vietnam on being selected to host the FIATA World Congress 2025 (FWC 2025).

Here, Mr. Nguyen Duy Minh – General Director of WR1 and Vice President of the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) was one of the three members representing VLA – Vietnam to present Vietnam’s strengths to win the right to host FWC 2025 at FWC 2022 held in Busan – South Korea (September 15 – 16).

FWC 2023 (Belgium)

With the theme “Climate change of the logistics industry” Mr. Nguyen Duy Minh represented WR1 to attend the Congress. Here he said: “The conference is an opportunity to connect with logistics companies around the world and also helps to strengthen the sustainable cooperative relationship between Vietnamese and Belgian businesses, a country strong in the field of logistics.”

FWC 2024 (Panama)

Continuing to partner with VLA, WR1 attended the Congress held in Panama with the desire to expand cooperation and global connections. In addition, the Congress was also an opportunity to promote FWC 2025, which will be hosted by VLA in Hanoi, Vietnam in October 2025.

Especially here, VLA and the Vietnamese representatives attending officially received the scepter to organize FWC 2025 held in Hanoi, from October 6 – 10, 2025.

To kick off the largest and most important event in freight forwarding and logistics worldwide, the FIATA World Congress 2025 will officially take place in Hanoi on October 6-10. WR1 has partnered with VLA to promote a series of B2B Matching Online programs (expected to include 10 sessions) with the goal of connecting the business community and domestic and international logistics associations.
