The PH5 service is a weekly sea route departing from the Incheon Port of Korea to Vietnam and Thailand through China.

According to the information, 5 vessels with a capacity ranging from 2,544 TEU to 2,826 TEU will be used and the first vessel named MAERSK NINGBO has arrived at the Hanjin Incheon container port to receive cargo.

The main ports on this route that the ships will pass through include China (Haemon, Hong Kong), Thailand (Leam Chabang) and Vietnam (Cat Lai). This transport route is expected to help restore trade between Incheon and China, Vietnam, and Thailand.

The Incheon Port Authority predicts that the deployment of this route will increase the volume of goods such as raw materials, auto parts, daily necessities, furniture, and small household goods by over 60,000 TEUs each year.

The latest update from an IPA leader suggests that with this new service, the number of port calls from Incheon Port to Vietnam and Thailand has increased to 29, helping small and medium-sized businesses develop their export markets while expanding the options for shippers and logistics companies in urban areas. Incheon Port will continue to work with transportation and logistics companies to stabilize and develop the best transportation routes.
